Santa Barbara Part 1

On Wednesday morning, I flew into Santa Barbara with my mom!

She's going to kill me for posting this picture.

We decided not to check into our inn immediately - instead, we walked around State Street (the main street in downtown Santa Barbara) where we shopped, ate a delicious lunch, and visited a chocolate store.

After our preliminary exploration of the area, we headed to our inn. Our room was cat-themed, with decorations of cats everywhere! There was also a book on the desk called "Where to Go In Britain", and Durham University was in it! I felt so proud.

There is a Jacuzzi/spa tub in our room! Too bad we can't use it, because of the drought.

The next day (Thursday) we went to the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens! There were many cute critters, beautiful flowers, and towering redwoods.

A lizard that posed for me in the Desert area!

A ladybug.

Some bell flowers in the woods.
And finally, today, we visited Mission Santa Barbara. It was very beautiful!

I'm still here for two more days - hopefully they will be as fun-filled as the past few have been!
