On Wednesday morning, I flew into Santa Barbara with my mom!

She's going to kill me for posting this picture. |
We decided not to check into our inn immediately - instead, we walked around State Street (the main street in downtown Santa Barbara) where we shopped, ate a delicious lunch, and visited a chocolate store.

After our preliminary exploration of the area, we headed to our inn. Our room was cat-themed, with decorations of cats everywhere! There was also a book on the desk called "Where to Go In Britain", and Durham University was in it! I felt so proud.

There is a Jacuzzi/spa tub in our room! Too bad we can't use it, because of the drought. |
The next day (Thursday) we went to the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens! There were many cute critters, beautiful flowers, and towering redwoods.

A lizard that posed for me in the Desert area! |

A ladybug. |

Some bell flowers in the woods. |
And finally, today, we visited Mission Santa Barbara. It was very beautiful!

I'm still here for two more days - hopefully they will be as fun-filled as the past few have been!
